In short, we want somebody who will develop a technical understanding of our clients' systems and bring with them demonstrated successes with provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. 

Job requirements

Here’s some of what you’ll do daily/weekly/monthly:

SA Engineering and Provisioning

  • Engineering SA-related solutions for various project and operational needs, enabling clients and staff
  • Maintain and configure Google and Microsoft group policies
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated, approaches for system administration tasks

Operations and Support

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, and cloud platforms, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled automation tasks
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off-site as necessary
  • Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures

Maintenance

  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
  • Configure / add new services as necessary
  • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
  • Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment

Here’s what you might have to be a good fit:

  • Previous systems management experience for one or more workspaces
  • An ability translate complex technical concepts into simple, non-technical terms
  • Patience to collaborate and actively listen to accountants, lawyers, and other highly opinionated, busy professionals
  • Ability to identify opportunities for enhancing processes and contribute to the agency’s knowledge base

Here's what you might have to be a perfect fit:

  • Certifications of the related sort (Sys Admin, Microsoft, Dell, etc.)
  • Experience or certifications in CRM software (HubSpot or SalesForce)
  • Experience or certifications in technical marketing (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience with business intelligence and operational reporting
